Help For Your Habitat

You know we have fallen in love with wool and we can't wait to share that love with you.

Here's our approachable guide to washing wool. It's easier than you think and can be done at home. Discover our best tips and tricks for keeping your blankets (and any other wool you may have) as beautiful as the day you bought them.

Keeping people safe during the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted so many aspects of routine life, including how we run our fulfilment center and how we rely on our shipping partners. That’s why it’s so important to shop early this year – to help us protect the well-being of our team on the front lines, and to help you get your gifts home in time for the holidays.
I don’t know about you, but with all that’s unfolded so far in 2020, all I want to do is give the whole world a great big hug. Maybe that’s because I know how much I need a hug these days. Unfortunately, I’m not even supposed to be hugging on my own neighbor right now, let alone the entire planet. With social distancing and obvious human limitations to consider, I can only do so much.  I’m one person doing my darndest to make a difference in a hurting world.
As white women, it is impossible to know what it feels like to be a black person living in America. I'm going to speak for myself and Rachael here, and I'm going to do the best that I can to make sure we are not indulging in our white privilege or virtue signaling as I try to express our collective horror.
While this news of continued isolation may be a dream come true for some introverts, most of us out here are feeling all kinds of cabin fever. We miss our friends, our kids miss their schools, and we all miss our regular ol’ lives.  Our response to all of this is what really matters. There’s only so much we can control in the world (I mean, on a good day I can maybe control myself a little). What we CAN control is how we’ll choose to spend this quarantine.

Well, hello there, unexpected hibernation! How’s everyone doing? As we’ve been abruptly thrust into a new way of doing life, many of us are feeling all kinds of crazy.  Whether you’re feeling sad, scared, confused, lonely, or just plain annoyed with the whole thing, all the feelings matter.  No matter how we spin it, this is a time of loss and stress for us all. We’re all learning a new normal, discovering ways to stay out of panic mode, and doing our very best to keep an even keel.

Unshattered has put their entire non-profit on HOLD (shifting away from making beautiful bags) to start making masks for our medical professionals in need. That’s right, they’re suspending their only source of revenue that supports their non-profit mission to make masks. FOR FREE.

As we all adapt to our mostly indoor, socially distanced lives (for the time being), I think we’re all taking a closer look at our homes and the GERMS that reside within in a whole new light. Suddenly our organic, eco-conscious selves are questioning our usual methods of cleaning our spaces.

Are those natural products really going to keep us safe from the coronavirus and other potential superbugs?

Like you, we have received many emails from the brands that we buy from that contain lots of very formal and kinda scary language abut COVID-19, The CDC, and The WHO (not the band). We’re going to skip that formal language and just be ourselves. Cool? Cool.

It's GO HOME time and we have some ideas about how we can make the most of social distancing (self-q) while we try to be part of the solution to stop the spread of Coronavirus. COVID-19 is here and it's time to get serious.
